Personal Automatic Transport for south east Queensland Australia

i was thinking of preparing a proposal to take the S.E.Q. area into the 21st century by starting on a flexible, expandable P.A.T. system for south east Queensland. i think it would be a real tourist drawcard. people need public transport, but want promptness, speed and privacy. up till now this mean choosing the private car and trying to use an increasingly overloaded road system. Systems are already designed, and just needs to be installed with a minimum of disruption.

Looks like the Brisbane L.G.A. led by Mayor Campbell Newman is following a narrow vision of more roads and road tunnels but somehow claims to be about public transport as well.
The L.G.A. only have buses and ferries for crying out loud. Well, bike paths, but its hilly and hot climate around here. Doesn't look like they have the courage to go "Personal Automatic Transport".
Meanwhile the Premier Peter Beatie, state government run railways are talking about a couple more lines which would involve full size tunnels, ok to connect directly with the existing network, but why no vision of new networks?, light rail or P.R.T.
And still no line to Redcliffe city unless it is profitable enough for a private partner to get involved.
